Ashton Memorial Lancaster

“All for one, and one for all!”

Posted on Posted in Cross Bay News

July was another month in 2018 where North Lancashire was blessed with more sunshine which meant more time spent outdoors than in the office!

You know when you hear people say that life isn’t a race, well I personally believe that to be true in business. The start of this monthΒ saw me have the opportunity to have a go at coding…this has been on my list of things to try for a while and there is something satisfying about seeing what can be created from some simple lines of code. The Think Differently tank which was spread across 2 days gave us the opportunity to listen AND do. You can find out more about the day by clicking here.Β

I was also given the opportunity to go and watch The Dukes production of The Three Musketeers on one of their opening nights. Have you been to see it?

In the final week of the school term, I went along to a wonderful Leavers Mass for the current Year 6 [there were tears] and then onto a Creative Women meet up hosted by CWS Creatives and the Northern Dough Co. It’s true what they say about surrounding yourself with the right people. These women were creative and ambitious but also incredibly friendly and honest about their challenges….the pizza was also pretty good too πŸ˜‰ all thanks to a chance meeting with Morgana at the Think Differently Tank earlier in the month. If you want to know more, why not join the Facebook group [linked].

We ended the month visiting the Viking Festival in Heysham, baking scones using the awesome Yummy Cupcake Company recipe, watching Mamma Mia 2 – did you know many of the scenes were actually filmed on the Croatian island of Vis?Β and trying out the new bowling alley, Soul Bowl in Morecambe.

3 things I am grateful for in July

  • the sun shining
  • the opportunity to code
  • being there for the Y6 Leaver’s Mass

Hope August treats you well.
